Come learn from our Master Chef (artist to be named later). Complete ingredients list to be provided in advance, so that you can cook along with the instructor. Impress your significant other by learning secretly or enjoy a romantic evening together – either way it stands to be an interesting evening! Details to come later in the month.

Brethren,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome 2021! To the best of our ability we shall strive to seek some semblance of “normalcy” –which I hope continues to improve as the vaccine becomes more wide-spread. Our first step towards normal is symbolically appropriate as we will be initiating a new Brother during our January Communication. Since Ritual shall be performed, we are not able to offer an online option for the meeting. Every Brother (including officers) is required to make a reservation with either myself or the Junior Warden so that we can ensure compliance with the Governor’s capacity restrictions.
To better enable us to participate in lodge work, we shall try an online option for the Service Committee Meetings in January and February. Attendance in person is still welcome but if you are unable to, a Zoom invite shall be made available in advance.
2021 will also bring the return of social events! We have a calendar planned for monthly activities beginning in February on Valentine’s Day weekend with a Virtual Cooking Class. Enjoy a romantic evening (virtually) as we learn from a Master Chef on how to prepare a meal. Ingredients shall be issued in advance. Surprise your significant other by learning on the sly or working together to make your meal for the evening.
I would like to again congratulate Worshipful Kevin Buckley Jr. for his Robert Johnson Service Award and Worshipful Chris Gugger for his Joseph Warren Medal. The Robert Johnson award is to be given to the unsung Brother of the Lodge working behind the scenes who goes above and beyond the call of duty. For 13 years Wor. Buckley has seen to the management of the flower deliveries, twice a year, to the Widows and Brothers over 80. The Joseph Warren Medal is given for exemplary and distinguished service to the Fraternity, the community and the member’s house of worship. Wor. Chris has demonstrated a dedication to a greater purpose through his efforts with the Red Cross to host blood drives throughout the pandemic – saving over 2,000 lives. Thank you both for all that you do for Saint Matthew’s and Freemasonry at large.
